random acts

My favorite thing about getting paid is that I have enough money to do a "random act of kindness." Went out for Chinese food today. By myself. Which was odd. And paid for the adorable older couple sitting at the booth next to mine. Left a note, telling them to enjoy their free lunch, and noted that I had noticed the man was wearing a cap stating he was a veteran. So I thanked him for that, and told them to enjoy. Half of me wishes I could have been there to see their faces; half of me realizes that that is selfish, and that I should be glad just to be able to do something for someone.
